Last week, we unveiled the product evolution we’ve been working on for years: the world's first FactoryOS®. This highly anticipated virtual launch covered the origins of the new Amper FactoryOS and its powerful capabilities.

First things first: what good is a trove of powerful features if they’re hard to find and navigate? We’re starting off this list of new releases with Amper’s improved user interface. Sleek and intuitive, this new UI is designed to streamline navigation.

Not only does it have a cleaner look, but the updated interface also now organizes the app by outcomes. What does this mean? The layout follows six “paths,” or essential categories that every manufacturer tries to improve.

The purpose of this was to group features more intentionally. We believe that it is only when manufacturers think of their shops holistically that they can make properly informed decisions to improve their operations.

Introducing paths in our app makes it easier for manufacturers to think this way. When you log in to the FactoryOS, you’ll immediately see Today’s Snapshot. This is a quick glimpse into what’s happening in your factory this very moment. It’s an overview of high-level metrics like utilization and snapshots of your machine states.

Underneath the real-time snapshot lie the six paths. So now, instead of sifting through piles of individual puzzle pieces, manufacturers now have all the pieces (shop data) split and organized into six buckets (paths). Plus, with the addition of a powerful search bar, it’s infinitely easier to work toward the final vision on the box lid: a more connected and profitable shop.

4. Your Data, Your Way

We know (and celebrate) that every shop is different. That’s why we introduced custom fields and custom reporting with our Custom Report Builder: to allow every Amper user to see their data their way. It’s a simple way to:

  • Create new custom reports
  • Customize visualizations
  • Choose your own metrics

With the Custom Report Builder feature, you can generate new reports tailored to your specific needs and goals. Track custom fields, choose your favorite visualization, and get the insights you value the most in the easiest way possible.
